I'm Richard James, aka The Bald Shredder. But don't be fooled by the name. My philosophy about guitar solos has always been melodic passages with harmonies and memorable melodies with just the right amount of shredding. In other words, don't overdo the shredding because it gets boring real fast. I've been playing since I was 11 years old. I was raised on 80s hard rock and that will always be my true love. Favorite bands include Def Leppard, Dokken, Racer X, TNT, Van Halen, and Ratt just to name a few. Favorite guitarists: George Lynch, Paul Gilbert, John Sykes, Phil Collen & Steve Clark, Ronnie LeTekro, Vinnie Moore, Steve Vai, and Eddie Van Halen. My love of guitar and 80s music is matched by my love of comedy and humor. This is why you will always see silly humor and characters in a lot of my videos. Original music? Definitely!
