Hij speelde in 7 films waaronder Bloed Zweet & Tranen en Onze Jongens in Miami, vertolkte de hoofdrol van Ciske in de musical Ciske de Rat, hij wist in 2016 de finale van Superkids te bereiken en won in 2019 het Junior Songfestival met zijn song Dans Met Jou. Hiermee behaalde Matheu voor Nederland een 4e plaats op het Junior Eurovision in Polen.
