Marsimoto

Marsimoto is the alter ego of German rapper -- a fun project that started when (who was born Marten Laciny on December 4, 1982 in Rostock, East Germany) experimented with an effect device, creating a high-pitched voice similar to that of American rapper (the alter ego of ). Interestingly, this pothead alter ego was created even before the release of a "real" album: the first Marsimoto album was released in 2006 through -- one year before 's proper debut album, 2007's Base Ventura. Marsimoto's second album, Zu Zweit Allein, was released on in 2008 and charted at number 84 in the German charts. After another album, 2010's Zum Glück in die Zukunft, Marsimoto returned with the 2012 album Grüner Samt. The album, which featured production by , the Krauts, Kid Simius, and others, entered the charts at number three.
