In late 2024 / 2025 I plan to attempt a through hike of the Appalachian Trail. The plan is to start SOBO from Katahdin in September and continue South until the weather stops me. I'll restart in February from Springer in GA and hike North in a traditional manner. With over half the trail complete as a section hike, I feel this affords me the quickest way to complete the trail after retirement while also attempting a thru hike.
