Karl Wolf is a Lebanese-Canadian musician who was raised in Dubai and is currently based in Toronto. He began his career as a producer and songwriter, amassing sales of over 1 million albums before launching his solo career. In 2004, he released his single “Butterflies,” which became the first A-pop (Arabic pop) song, earning Karl Wolf the title “Father of A-pop”. The single was featured on his debut album, Face Behind the Face (2006), which earned a JUNO Award (Canadian GRAMMYs) nomination for Best R&B Soul Recording.
