The Garden State Model Railway Club was founded in 1953 and incorporated in 1957. It is home to a 30'x40' HO-scale model railroad, the Garden State Northern. Since 1957, the club has held open houses following Thanksgiving, and starting in 2012, an additional open house in March. During the rest of the year, members work on construction and improvements on the railroad, along with holding operating sessions several times throughout the year.
