Fig Hill Farm

Steve and Meg live a self reliant lifestyle on their small farm overlooking the lovely Bega valley on the far south coast of Australia. This peaceful little farm consists of 12.5 acres of lush ex dairy farm that we are revegetating and slowly building a self-reliant lifestyle on. We live in an autonomous house we have built with recycled materials over the last 13 years; close to famous far south coast beaches and national parks. We raise pigs, goats, sheep and chickens, have vegetable gardens, a vineyard and orchard trees. We love growing produce and cooking, we process our animals on the farm and we also make our own bread, cheese, wine & beer, we love fishing, hunting and gathering, have a wood fired pizza oven, food, community and sustainability are very important to us. This channel aims to share the knowledge we have acquired in the hope that it assist others live a more self reliant lifestyle.
