Introducing BIG NOTER, an all-new project from Aboriginal Australian icon BRIGGS, a proud Yorta-Yorta/Wurundjeri/Wemba-Wemba man from country Victoria. Now trading hip-hop beats for guitar riffs, BIG NOTER is a sonic return to the heavy sounds he grew up on, tapping into his hardcore, punk and metal roots, with a full live band in tow. The first taste comes via IDENTITY, the formal introduction to the world for BIG NOTER. From the get-go on the debut single the listener can feel the change of gears, as the nostalgic guitar kicks in, the accompaniment of BRIGGS’ vocals at their most aggressive to date prick the listener’s ears up with his modern yet classic take on hardcore/punk energy. With their debut album well under way, as well as debut shows supporting Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inducted artist, Tom Morello on his April 2025 Australian tour, BIG NOTER are set to make waves and land with a major impact in the Australian music scene.
